Beautiful Bike
Why can't all bikes look this good? We don't think the photo from the manufacturer does the bike any justice at all. Our in-store photo does a better job at showing off the subtle, autumnal, countryside-inspired colour scheme but when you see it in the showroom you can really see how everything works well together; from the warm brown tones of the saddle and tyres, the classy brushed metal logo, and the 'tailored' fit of the mudguards.
Beautifully Balanced
What's nice about this bike is that although it is a sporty bike, it's actually made with comfort in mind. The front is tall, so like on a Dutch style stepthrough frame you can sit relatively upright settle into the extremely good Syncros saddle (probably the nicest factory-fitted saddles we're seeing at the moment).
The bike feels extremely stable and balanced when riding - freewheeling downhill was a lot of fun - and we are very impressed how it deals with potholes. Our test-ride road here has a lot of cracks and bumps, and the suspension and wide tyres seem to soak all of those up.
A note on size: This bike does come up larger than the sticker might suggest. We think the 'small' would still fit most people used to 'medium' frames.
Extraordinary Motor
The Bosch Performance CX motor has enormous 'off the mark' power. If getting going from a dead stop is your issue, then find a bike with this motor or similar (like the Yamaha motor). Hill starts were extremely easy on this bike.
Summary: It's not built for speed, so if you are a commuter in a hurry, you may want to try a lighter framed bike like a VADO SL, but for hill-climbing, carrying cargo, and for easy-paced countryside rides done in style, this bike is where it's at.
