Winner of Which? Magazine's Best Folding Bike award, this bestseller is the ideal companion for trips away. Just pack it into the boot and look forward to miles and miles of comfortable riding.
The very latest version of Wisper's flagship folding electric bike, the Wisper 806 has received a number of additions to help you tailor your folding e-bike to your own personal requirements. The Wisper 806 folding e-bike is the perfect option for campers, caravaners, boating enthusiasts, commuters or for those with restricted storage space.
With their very low step over height the Wisper 806 e-bike is also ideal for the rider smaller in stature. Despite the small size, the 806 rides like a much larger bike and the extensive adjustment range on the seat post and handlebar stem means the bike can easily be adjusted for the comfort of taller riders.
Wisper's 806 is a Folding Electric Bike that boasts excellent quality and unparalleled reliability. The highly renowned motor and fast-charging battery provide smooth power delivery when you need it most. You can tailor your Wisper 806 folding e-bike to your own preferences, choosing from a range of colours, power systems and battery sizes.
Choose your power system:
Cadence/speed sensors
Cadence sensors turn the power on when pedals are turned forward and turn the power off when pedalling stops. There are magnets on the inside of one of the pedal cranks. As you turn the pedals, these magnets pass the cadence sensor. As the magnets pass the sensor, the system gives you extra power from the motor. When you stop pedalling, the magnets stop passing the sensor, and the extra power stops. It's a simple, reliable system that has been employed for years.
Torque sensors
Torque sensors recognise when and how much pressure is being put onto either pedal. Power will increase as the pressure on the pedals increases. In other words, pedal harder, and the bike will give you more power. Power is available immediately pressure is put onto either pedal. So… if the bike is starting from standstill, encounters a hill, a strong headwind or if the bike is heavily laden, the torque sensor will recognise that more pressure is being put onto the pedals and the bike will offer more powered assistance. It’s very simple and very clever!
Summary: Since its launch several years ago, this has been a staple of our range, popular with customers and staff alike. Especially good for riders in need of a low step over height.
